No, PlayStation®4 saved data can't be used on the PlayStation®5, and vice versa. However, it's possible to convert PlayStation®4 saved data to PlayStation®5 saved data.
Existing saved data created by the PlayStation®4 version of Relink can be made compatible with the PlayStation®5 version by performing the conversion procedure below.
Note: Saved data created by the PlayStation®5 version of Relink isn't compatible with the PlayStation®4 version of Relink.
Before Converting Saved Data:
・For guidance on how to transfer data between consoles, refer to documentation provided by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
・Save slots for converted saved data are chosen automatically. You won't be able to choose which save slots to use.
・Any existing saved data in the chosen slots will be overwritten.
How to Convert PlayStation®4 Saved Data:
As long as you save your progress with all the trophies you've earned so far, they will carry over when that saved data is converted.
For example, let's say you earn a trophy but don't save. That trophy won't carry over when the saved data is converted.
