Is Floodland Climate propaganda?

The game leaves it open to your interpretation. Humanity is a mess and it's your job to rebuild society as you see fit. From the perspective of those in game characters who survived the "Event", they are so focused on survival that the who, what's, when and whys of the catastrophe are irrelevant.

But for the players, the climate crises is a part of the overall jigsaw of events and circumstances that lead to the fall of civilization and so we'll leave it to the player to decided it's relevance and the significance of causing factors, such as man-made greenhouse gas emissions . Ultimately, the facts don't care, the world is getting warmer.

Floodland doesn't aim to be propaganda, but we do want to get people thinking about the future, how they would survive and rebuild.

Is an online or co-op mode planned?

Not immediately no. It's a single player experience, but if it proves popular, we can start brainstorming ideas on how to make it more socially interactive. A multiplayer mode would effectively be a new game entirely.

How do I hide the U.I. for Screenshots etc?

You only need press Ctrl+U
This may in some cases pause the game, but while the U.I. is hidden, use mouse cursor to select ANY object on map and then press Space. We aim to fix this for future updates.

Zooming in and out?

Using the mouse wheel you can zoom in and out, but it has limits and these are intension. Zoom in and out affects performance, too far out and your taking in and processing more, too far in and your making performance demands on details. We therefore set it as it is and a balance between these constraints to keep performance issues at a minimum. We may revisit this as we further optimise the game

Why can’t my clan procreate to increase population?

The focus of the game is around the survivors, going out and finding them to increase your population and the time scales involved make a procreation system unfeasible. But it is interesting feedback and we may find way in future updates to make it work and make sense.
